Profile
Susan Cameron is a voice and speech teacher, dialect coach, and specialist in accent reduction. Susan has coached in television, film, and theatre, in projects as diverse as Netflix/Marvel’s Daredevil, to The King and I at Lincoln Center. She was Master Teacher and Chair of Voice and Speech at New York University (CAP21 Studio), on the faculty of New York University’s MFA Graduate Acting, and currently teaches in the MFA Drama program at Columbia University and New School for Drama. Her book/DVD/CDs Perfecting Your English Pronunciation, published by McGraw-Hill in 2012, has been released in 2014 as an app entitled Perfect English Pronunciation. This multi media set was also recently translated into Korean and released in Korea. She was granted a trademark for her system of working– the Cameron Method ™ of accent reduction; television/radio appearances include interviews on Sinovision (Chinese television broadcast in China and the US), NHK-TV (Japanese television), and NPR radio. Susan is also a published playwright/screenwriter, and holds an MFA in Acting from Yale School of Drama.
