Description:
This course, part of the department's required core curriculum, continues the dialogues that began in Sophomore Seminar. Students further explore the language and theory of photography, and begin to apply critical and technical skills in defining their own photographic statement. During this seminar, students begin to develop a body of work, understanding the process necessary to create a portfolio or exhibition. Included are papers, visits to shows, and working throughout the year on developing a personal style. Students must switch instructors in the second semester of this course.
