Description:
Models, Mockups & Prototypes 1 aims to educate students to shop etiquette and culture and instruct appropriate and safe use of hand and power tools/machines in construction classrooms. This course supports design build process in core studios throughout the entire program sequence. Models, Mockups & Prototypes 1 will be integrated with PD.Design Studio 1/Research, Design & Development with various project touch points. Focus is on hands-on full-scale and scaled making, choosing an appropriate modeling method for the intended purpose, experimentation versus planning, trial error process documentation. Course work is done in construction classrooms.
Course Pre/Co-requisites:
Open to: Bachelors degree in Integrated Design and Product Design majors, sophomores only; others by permission of the Product Design program. Co-requisite(s): PUPD 2000 Studio 1: Research, Des & Dev
