Description:
Building on Studio 1, this course seeks to expand and deepen understandings of the fundamentals of interior design. Issues of human occupation will be addressed at the level of phenomenological, experiential and pragmatic levels. Emphasis will be placed on the iterative design process and students shall be asked to question their preconceptions around the fundamental issues of defining, designing and representing interior design projects. The following areas of investigation will be dominant in the studio structure: the model as an analytical tool, the detail as a generator of ideas, and program as a conceptual and pragmatic idea.
