The School of Art and Design History and Theory (ADHT) engages students at all degree levels in the analysis of art and design as essential to the formation of knowledge and culture. All Parsons bachelor’s students take ADHT’s first-year undergraduate curriculum, developing their critical thinking and writing skills. ADHT also offers the BFA Design History and Practice program; the MA Fashion Studies and the MA History of Design and Curatorial Studies graduate programs; and required courses and electives at ADHT that are available to students throughout The New School.
