Term:

Most contemporary ethical approaches can be understood as variations on the theme of either Kantian deontological ethics or Aristotelian teleological ethics. This seminar is a close reading of Aristotle's ethical works, primarily, of the Nicomachean Ethics. It intends to provide an interpretation of Aristotle's major notions and categories, such as ethical and dianoetic virtues, moral disposition, pleasure, friendship, and the good life.
