    Spring
    New Applicants and Readmits
    Priority Deadline: November 1
    Final Master’s and Advanced Certificate Deadline: January 4 at 11:59 p.m. ET

    FAFSA (U.S. Citizens & Eligible Non-citizens)
    Fall Applicants: February 1
    Spring Applicants: November 1

    The Public and Urban Policy PhD application must be received by January 15. The program does not accept spring applications.

    Master’s and Advanced Certificate Applicants: To be most competitive for admission and merit scholarship consideration, please apply before the priority deadline. We will continue to review applications submitted after the deadline if space is available in the program. The Admission Committee will make a decision on your application only after all the required materials have been received. Please email us at [email protected] to ask if we are still reviewing applications.

    Prior Degree Completion

    Master's or advanced certificate applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university or the equivalent degree from a foreign college or university. Applicants in the process of completing the bachelor's degree may apply for admission. Admission to the program relies on completion of the bachelor's degree.

    Applicants to the PhD in Public and Urban Policy must hold a master's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university or the equivalent degree from a foreign college or university, in addition to a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Applicants in the process of completing their master's degree may apply for admission.

    Applicant Profiles

    Master of Science & Advanced Certificates
    Our degree programs welcome applicants from all walks of life, including working professionals, recent college graduates, and career changers. We have a holistic review of the application. GRE and GMAT test scores are not required.

    PhD in Public & Urban Policy
    The doctoral program in Public and Urban Policy seeks applicants with academic and/or professional qualifications that prepare them for advanced research and practice in public policy analysis with an urban orientation. GRE and GMAT test scores are not required.

Undergraduates

To apply to any of our undergraduate programs (except the Bachelor's Program for Adults and Transfer Students and Parsons Associate of Applied Science programs) complete and submit the Common App online.

Undergraduate Adult Learners

To apply to any of our Bachelor's Program for Adults and Transfer Students and Parsons Associate of Applied Science programs, complete and submit the New School Online Application.

Graduates

To apply to any of our Master's, Doctoral, Professional Studies Diploma, and Graduate Certificate programs, complete and submit the New School Online Application.
