    Profile:

    Tracyann Williams is a Ph.D. candidate in English at The Graduate Center/CUNY, where she is also pursuing a certificate in Women’s Studies. She has been teaching at The New School since 1998, offering courses in literature, gender studies, and cultural studies. She also taught Composition and Literature at LaGuardia College/CUNY for several years. She has received numerous awards and recognition including the Distinguished University Teaching Award from The New School in 2004 and a Helena Rubenstein Foundation fellowship. Her current research focuses on mixed race women in modern fictions.
