    James Bang

    Profile

    James has over a decade of experience in developing and producing original media content as a writer, producer, and director. His work has received numerous awards and was invited to international film festivals around the globe. His film, "Wianbu - Comfort Woman," won the East Coast Regionals and nominated as a national finalist at the 35th Student Academy Awards (Oscars ®).  

    Before his filmmaking career, James earned multiple degrees in film production and performing arts, including an MFA degree in Film directing and screenwriting from Columbia University, and worked on numerous productions to gain hands-on experience as a filmmaker.  

    In addition to his work, James serves as a freelance cinematographer and editor to directors and producers on both coasts as well as parts in between. Most recently, he is working with a production company in Hollywood, Hierarchy Pictures, developing a dramatic motion picture screenplay, "To Each His Own." And he is in post-production with his documentary film "Never Summer."
