Katie Kitamura is the author of Gone To The Forest and The Longshot, both finalists for the New York Public Library’s Young Lions Fiction Award. Gone To The Forest was named a best book of the year by the New Yorker, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Financial Times and the Times Literary Supplement. A recipient of a Lannan Foundation Residency Fellowship, Kitamura has written for publications including The New York Times Book Review, The Guardian, BOMB, Triple Canopy and Frieze. Her third novel, A Separation, was published in 2017. A New York Times Editors' Choice, it will be translated into fifteen languages.
