    Alison Kinney is the author of Hood (Bloomsbury Publishing, 2016). Her essays and articles have appeared online and/or in print at The, The Paris Review Daily, Harper's, Lapham's Quarterly, The New York Times, The Guardian, The Atlantic, Longreads, The Believer, LitHub, Hyperallergic, and other publications. She teaches nonfiction writing.
