November 5, 2015, NEW YORK- The New School’s Parsons School of Design announced today a generous gift from J. Stanley Tucker to offer two scholarships for Parsons students, with the addition of his estate creating an endowment for student scholarships going forward.

“Stanley Tucker spent 30 years influencing and growing the fashion industry, especially in the world of men’s fashion,” said Burak Cakmak, dean of Parsons’ School of Fashion. We are honored that he chose Parsons to continue his industry legacy by supporting the next generation of fashion designers.”
"The world of fashion, particularly menswear, has been my love and career for some 30 plus years and this exciting industry has been kind to me in many ways,” said J. Stanley Tucker. “As a result, endowing a scholarship through my estate at Parson's is my way of giving back to the future fashion leaders pursuing careers in this rewarding business. I also wanted to give the scholarships to students now so I would have the opportunity to meet and interact with them."
