Mannes College The New School for Music presents the 2014 Institute and Festival for Contemporary Performance (IFCP), an annual celebration and exploration of contemporary music, featuring:
Marc Ponthus, the first artist to perform solo performances entirely devoted to a single composer of the post-World World II era, including Pierre Boulez, Karlheinz Stockhausen and Iannis Xenakis. Ponthus has been the Artistic Director of IFCP for 11 years. He will perform the Stockhausen work controlling the overtones of a second piano.
