Website Showcases Outstanding Student Design Projects

Selections from the Thesis Work site

NEW YORK, February 29, 2012—Parsons The New School for Design has launched Thesis Work, a new website featuring top student work from across its art and design programs. The site gives visitors a glimpse into the range of projects created at Parsons from undergraduate and graduate students in architecture, communication design, design and technology, fashion design, fine arts, illustration, integrated design, interior design, lighting design, photography, and product design.

The site features over fifty outstanding student thesis works, including:

Three projects highlighted in the January issue of Wallpaper magazine: a womenswear collection by BFA Fashion Design graduate Brian Suter-Maury; a cutlery set for people with Alzheimer's disease by BFA Product Design graduate Neelima Narayanan; and a photograph by MFA Photography graduate Jun Ahn;
Coco, by Product Design graduate Gabriella Ravassa, a redesign of the standard container used by coffee pickers in developing nations, which was featured on Fast Company's Co.Design blog;
Uncommon Creatures, a retail installation by MFA Interior Design graduate Anne-Mette Krolmark, which was featured in the November/December issue of Frame magazine; and
Typography Insight, an iPad app developed by MFA Design and Technology graduate Dong Yoon Park, now on sale in the iTunes store.
