PARSONS PRESENT FLAT PACK STUDIO AT BLU DOT
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 16, 6-8 PM
Blu Dot SoHo, 140 Wooster Street

Please join Rama Chorpash, Director of Product Design at Parsons The New School for Design, Bill Morrish, Dean of the School of Constructed Environments at Parsons, and John Christakos, CEO and President of Blu Dot, for the final review and reception for the Parsons Product Design Flat Pack Studio, led by faculty member Mark Bechtel.

In this junior year studio, students design a piece of furniture that will flat-pack to fit within the dimensions of a UPS box or tube. This includes the design and construction of a full-scale working furniture prototype, the packaging, and an assembly manual. Final projects are being shipped to Blu Dot Soho, where they will be assembled and reviewed by a jury of critics that include designers Allan Wexler and Jeff Miller.

To RSVP please contact Deborah Kirschner at [email protected] or 212.229.5667 x4310.
