Josh de Sousa is the co-founder and principal of Hou de Sousa, a New York based architecture and design studio. Recent awards and honors include Hou de Sousa's selection as The Architectural League of New York's Folly/Function Competition winner, the winning entry for the Re-ball! International Design Competition, 2nd Prize in the National Museum of World Writing Competition, selection as Finalists for Interior Design Magazine's Best of Year Awards 2016, selection as Finalists for the 2015 City of Dreams Competition, a Notable Entry in the 2015 Arch League Folly Competition, and the Winning Restaurant Design for the IIDA's 2015 Best Interiors of Latin America Competition. The office's work has been widely featured in press outlets such as Architectural Record, Interior Design, Domus, Dwell, Cultured Magazine, The Washington Post, NPR, NBC, and ABC. Josh holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell and a Master of Architecture from Harvard.
