Elizabeth Tolson was born in 1987 and is currently based in Brooklyn, New York. Tolson holds an MFA from Parsons the New School for Design (2013) and a BFA from Alfred University (2010). Tolson is an Expanded Media Artist and Educator whose work explores the boundaries of art, technology, and feminism. She has participated in residencies at Benaco Arte, Open Wabi, Lacawac Sanctuary, and ProjectArt at the Bushwick Brooklyn Library. Tolson’s work has been featured in New York Time’s T Magazine, Styleite, Make Magazine, Beautiful/Decay, and Adafruit. Exhibits include Target Gallery in Alexandria, VA; The Washington Project for the Arts Experimental Media Series at The Philips Collection in Washington D.C.; Cuchifritos Gallery in New York City, SXSW in Austin, Texas, and K&P Gallery in Chelsea, NY. Tolson is currently a Part Time Lecturer at Parsons the New School for Design.
