Lynne Rogers is a former President of the Society for Music Theory. Her research, which focuses primarily on twentieth-century music with an emphasis on Stravinsky studies, has been supported by grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities, Paul Sacher Foundation, and Oberlin College. Her articles appear in Contemporary Music Review, Journal of Musicology, Journal of the Royal Musical Association, Music Theory Spectrum, and other journals. Her review in Notes won the Eva Judd O’Meara award from the Music Library Association. She is co-editor of Selected Essays from the Fourth International Schenker Symposium. She regularly presents papers in the United States and abroad at meetings of scholarly societies and as an invited speaker, including a visiting appointment as Endowed Chair in Music at The University of Alabama. Before coming to Mannes College in fall 2014, Professor Rogers she taught at William Paterson University, from which she received the Faculty Excellence Award for Teaching, Oberlin Conservatory, and The University of Texas at Austin.
