    Rachel Farmer received her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and she teaches at the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and Parsons The New School for Design. In addition to teaching, Rachel was the Senior Associate Producer of the documentary film, Kings Park: Stories from an American Mental Institution that premiered at the Woodstock Film Festival in 2011.  She also created a series of nine short videos, highlighting School Programs at MoMA, which are featured on the MoMA Learning website.  

    She lives in Brooklyn and is a member of Clay Space 1205, a communal clay studio in Greenpoint.  Her art encompasses a variety of media including sculpture, drawing, photography and video.  Recent exhibits include Ancestors (solo exhibition at A.I.R. Gallery, 2013), #throwbackthursday / #flashbackfriday, juried by Scott Chasse and Hrag Varatanian (Calico, 2013), and Illegitimate and Herstorical, curated by Emily Roysdon (A.I.R. Gallery, 2012).
