Born and raised in New York City, Arthur retreated to the dreamy landscape of the Finger Lakes Region to study architecture. While there, he learned the value of a very warm coat, a soft pencil, and northern light. The dichotomy between the ultra-manmade (NYC) and hyper-natural (the glacially carved landscape of Upstate NY) environments created an interest in the idea of polar opposites, a constant search for difference, and an unwavering belief in finding a better solution.
When not in the studio, Arthur is likely cooking a delicious meal, restoring an antique watch or sewing leather goods.
Arthur is a Senior Project Leader in the New York office of Studio Gang Architects.
