    MICHAEL MAGGIO

    ASSOCIATE | PROJECT DIRECTOR
    at Ralph Appelbaum Associates (RAA)

     

    Mr. Maggio, an Associate, who joined RAA in 2004, is an award-winning designer who directs and manages national, and international cultural history and corporate center projects. As Project Director, Mr. Maggio is responsible for establishing and maintaining the project’s direction, leading the RAA team through the phases of development and completion. He assures the quality of design and content development, and attends all major meetings, presentations, design workshops and curatorial meetings as necessary and appropriate.
     
    Before joining RAA, Mr. Maggio was an architectural designer in Buffalo, NY. His clients included the Albright Knox Museum of Art; Cannon Design; Studio for Architecture; the Metropolitan Museum of Art; and Lindy Roy, New York, where he fabricated a museum model of the Wind River Lodge design displayed at the Cooper-Hewitt Museum and now on permanent display at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
     
    Mr. Maggio has lectured and taught graduate and undergraduate designer at Pratt Institute, New York, Parsons School of Design, New York and State University of New York, Buffalo, his alma mater. He currently holds the position of Visiting Assistant Professor at The Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore Maryland where he teaches Architectural and Exhibit Design.
