Profile:
Charlene K. Lau is Post-Doctoral Fellow, Material and Visual Culture in the School of Art and Design History and Theory, Parsons School of Design. She has over thirteen years' professional experience working in Canada, Europe and the United Kingdom with artists such as David Claerbout and art institutions including Canadian Art, Mercer Union, The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery, White Cube and Vtape. Charlene has been a curatorial assistant at the Textile Museum of Canada, and has held teaching positions at Ryerson University and York University (both Toronto), and Western University (London, Ontario). Her writing has been published in The Brooklyn Rail, C Magazine, Canadian Art, Critical Studies in Fashion & Beauty, Fashion Theory, Journal of Curatorial Studies and PUBLIC.
