Anna Philip is a Swedish born Fashion Designer whom came to NY in the early 1990 to purse her carrier as a designer after graduating from fashion school in Los Angeles. Through her 20 + years experience, she has worked in all aspects of design, most recently as a men’s wear designer with previous experience in women’s and children’s design. Her experience spans from original concept development to final production including pattern making, product development and creative direction. During her tenure at Polo Ralph Lauren, she held the position as Senior Design Director of The men’s knitwear department, the largest division of the company. Previous to Ralph Lauren, Anna worked for Calvin Klein, Marithe´& François Girbaud and Kenneth Cole. Her experience spans from working locally with domestic vendors to overseas production. She always wanted to share her knowledge and enjoys her new endeavor as an instructor very much. In addition to teaching, Anna currently works as a consultant in the Fashion Industry. Since 2015 Anna has been teaching at Parsons School of Fashion in subjects ranging from concept development, flat sketching and a variety of construction courses; Sewing, Draping, Patternmaking and AAS seniors Construction 3 classes. During the summer semester she has been teaching the intensive courses in Pre Collage Academy, Fashion Sewing and Construction for high school students, and Fashion Design for middle school students. She is committed do furthering her career as a professor and perusing a masters in the Arts.
