During their freshman year at Parsons Paris, students critically and creatively engage with Paris as a city. First Year courses take full advantage of the resources of Paris for research and inspiration. It is not unusual for students to draw at the Louvre one day and explore a neighborhood on the left bank the next.
First Year programming includes lectures, workshops, intensive projects, and pop-up exhibitions that reinforce the curriculum’s interdisciplinary goals, develop students’ ability to think through making, and provide insights that can help students select a major.
Parsons Paris studio resources include fully connected classrooms, Digital Lab with a wide range of audio-visual equipment, a Make Lab with workbenches for fabricating projects, 3D printers and laser cutter.
