    Robert Boyers

    Profile

    Robert Boyers, visiting senior lecturer in liberal studies and Tisch Professor of Ar ts and Letters at Skidmore College, is the founder and longtime editor of the well-known intellectual quarterly Salmagundi. He is the author of many books, including most recently After the Avant-Garde and Atrocity and Amnesia: The Political Novel Since 1945. A frequent contributor to The New Republic, Granta, and other periodicals, he is also the author of A Book of Common Praise (2002). He is the director of The New York State Summer Writers Institute.
