    Public Programs

With more than 1,000 public events taking place around campus each year, the Public Programming department plays a crucial role in raising the university's profile as a hub of activity and dialogue whose influence reaches far beyond New York City. The department:

    • Promotes public programs - as a whole and for individual events.
    • Manages requests and acts as a resource for best practices on successfully planning and promoting public programs.
    • Implements and oversees university-wide public program communication tools, including event calendar, Livestream channel, reservation system and more.
    • Identifies key partnership opportunities and facilitates the process of partnering with external organizations.
    • Manages the leasing of university spaces for external private meetings, conferences, film shoots, and other events.
    • Ideates and creates select university-wide public programs.

For information about organizing a public program at The New School, please read through our Public Programs Toolkit. This site requires a  New School email address to log in.
