    Charles Neidich

    Profile

    First American to receive a Fulbright grant to study in the Soviet Union, 1975. Winner, Munich International Competition, 1982; Naumburg Competition, 1985. Recordings: SONY Classical and Vivarte, DG, EMI, Bridge, and Hyperion. International soloist, with performances throughout Europe, the United States, and Asia. Recital appearances at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall and Library of Congress. Concerto appearances with St. Louis, Indianapolis, BBC, and Yomuri Symphonies and Minnesota and Berlin Radio Orchestras. Music festivals: Sarasota (Florida); Oxford (Canada); Brereton (United Kingdom); Fondazione Musicale Santa Cecelia (Italy); Festival Consonances (France); Osnabruck (Germany); and Kirishima (Japan). Member, New York Woodwind Quintet, Orpheus Chamber Ensemble, and Mozzafiato. Faculty, The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, Queens College, City University of New York Graduate Center, and Mannes College The New School for Music.
