Bang Hee Lee is a violinist of the second generation of the well known musical family in Korea.She was the Grand Prize Winner of the Dong-A
competition, Korea's most prestigious musical competition,and has performed as a soloist with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra and Taiwan Symphony Orchestra. In New York, she has performed both as a soloist and chamber musician at Merkin Concert Hall and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.She has also performed solo and chamber music on KMF[Korea Music Foundation] and Kumho Art Friday Concert Series in Seoul Korea.
As an Orchestra musician, Ms Lee was a member of Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Peoria Symphony and Charleston Symphony and performed as a concert Mistress of the New Philharmonic of New Jersey. She also performed in the Claremont Chamber Music Festival,
Bedford Spring Festival and with Fellow ship from Aspen Summer Music Festival. She has also taught at the Bowdoin Summer Music Festival in Maine and International Institute for young musicians Summer Academy in Santa Barbara, California. she also taught and performed in InterHarmony Music Festival, Arcidosso Tuscany, Italy in and Sulzbach-Rosenberg,Bavaria, Germany 2014.
Ms. Lee holds a post Graduate Diploma from Mannes College, after receiving BM from Seoul National University, having studied with Shirley Givens, and Master of Art Degree from Brooklyn College, where she was a student of Itzhak Perman.
She has been on the faculty of the preparatory Division at Mannes College, where she has been giving annual Recitals with various repertoire,since 1988.
Additionally, Ms. Lee has been extending her music teaching and performing activities to Korea since the Summer of 1995.
