    Hala Malak runs her design strategic consultancy firm, The Design Critic, and is co-founding director of Design and Flow, a strategic design collective that facilitates actionable change and encourages shared responsibility. Based in NYC, the collective partners with like-minded individuals and organizations from all over the world, and has tackled issues ranging from the news story to refugee interventions to innovation and technology. Hala is also co-founder of Kaflab, a foundation dedicated to experimentation with identity through art and design. Hala has also been parttime faculty at Parsons teaching in the BBA, teaching the Design Management Summer Intensive as well as Marketing, Branding and PR, Research and Development Methods, Managing Creative Teams, Intro to Design and Management and SP1 and SP2 Senior Capstone Thesis courses. Hala is curator for the Lebanese Consulate of New York and sits on the board of FJK Dance Company and LebMASH. She has an MFA in Design Criticism from the School of Visual Arts.
