    Christine D'Onofrio

    Profile

    Christine D'Onofrio is Director of Poverty Research in the NYC Mayor’s Office for Economic Opportunity.  The office releases the annual NYCgov poverty measure, a ground breaking alternative measure of poverty in New York City. Additional data developed by the Poverty Research Team includes assists in the targeting of effective anti-poverty policies and monitoring metrics of inequality and economic mobility.  Dr. D’Onofrio previously worked as a research and budget analyst and developed models to estimate the effects of taxation and tax credits on the poverty rate, including the New York City Earned Income Tax Credit.
