    Anthony Anemone

    Profile

    Anthony Anemone has been teaching Russian and European literature, cinema and culture at The New School for Public Engagement and Eugene Lang College since 2006. Before coming to The New School, Professor Anemone taught at Colby College and The College of William and Mary, where he was also the Chairman of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures. He is the editor of Just Assassins; The Culture of Terrorism in Russia (Northwestern University Press, 2010) and the co-translator and editor of 'I am a Phenomenon Quite Out of the Ordinary'; The Notebooks, Diaries and Letters of Daniil Kharms (Academic Studies Press, 2012). His essays and reviews on modern Russian culture have appeared in many books as well as in journals such as Slavic Review, Russian Review, Slavic and East European Journal, Studies in Russian and Soviet Cinema, KinoKultura, Wiener slavistische Almanach, Revue des études slaves, and others. He is also on the editorial boards of The Slavic and East European Journal, Studies in Russian and Soviet Cinema, and KinoKultura.
