  • The Mission of the New School Mail Services Department is to provide all faculty, staff, and students with cost-effective, accurate, expedient receipt, processing, and distribution of all mail and parcels, exceeding customer expectations while adhering to the policies and procedures of the United States Postal Service.

    The Mail Services Department, located on the lower level of the 55 West 13th Street building, is the center of mail communication at The New School. The department is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mail Services' general contact number is 212.229.5301, and the fax number is 212.229.5984.

    Mail Services delivers mail to the various campus locations twice daily between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Mail Services records and dispatches all overnight express mail (FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS Express, etc.) via each mail run. Large boxes and packages are dispatched to facilities for delivery.

    All outgoing and interoffice mail should be prepared and ready for pickup by the designated time outlined in the Schedule of Mail Delivery and Pickup Times. For prompt processing of outgoing mail, please provide a valid Index or FOAP number with your mail.

    Important: Please separate first-class, international, and interoffice mail to expedite processing.
