Accessibility Resources
In an effort to support students, faculty, and staff during this remote work period, The New School is piloting the literacy and language accessibility toolbar Read&Write for Google Chrome. Read&Write includes features such as text-to-speech, word prediction,
picture dictionaries, audio maker, study highlighters, and screenshot reader, which uses Optical Character Recognition software to convert inaccessible documents and images into readable files within Google Drive and Canvas. Access download links
and tutorials in our Read&Write guide.
Virtual Private Network (VPN) Access
The New School’s VPN allows students to connect to The New School’s educational resources and to secure off-campus access to global websites. Log in to the student VPN page to download the VPN application.
