Welcome to the University Writing Center (UWC), where New School students can receive a wide range of services to improve their academic writing. The UWC also offers math support, ESL services, and specialized tutoring for graduate students. In addition, we hold regular workshops aimed at enhancing students' writing and other academic skills.

Our tutoring sessions support students’ writing development through constructive feedback, technical guidance, and help in clarifying their ideas and evaluating their work. The UWC is not a proofreading or editing service. Rather, our tutors work with students to identify areas that need improvement and offer advice about making adjustments.

There is also a midtown annex at 232 West 40th Street, room 1207, currently open Mondays and Thursdays. Check the e-scheduler for available times. Additional days and hours will be added as the semester progresses.
