Facilities, Services, and Resources

Students matriculated in the graduate Writing Program have access to the facilities and services of The New School, including libraries, computing labs, student housing, and health services.

Students in the MFA program have the opportunity to participate in their own monthly reading series and also to work on LIT, a student-edited and -published literary journal.

The most important resource for MFA students is the writer's life in New York City and the collaborations that the Writing Program maintains with other literary and cultural institutions in the city. See the The Writer's Life Colloquium for more information.

MFA candidates are also invited to the many public lectures, seminars, conferences, film series, and other special events offered regularly by other departments of The New School for General Studies and other divisions of the university.
