For pianists of all levels who wish to improve their ability to sight read, and who wish to learn to apply certain theoretical concepts to the development of practical piano skills. Emphasis is placed on harmonic progressions in all keys, and realization of figured basses. This course offers a highly structured curriculum designed to develop basic skills for recognizing rhythms, chords, basic keyboard patterns, and keyboard topography. These skills are applied in sight-reading assignments in class and complimented by level appropriate homework.
