Using digital media as the toolset, this course provides a comprehensive introduction to the formal vocabulary of interior design and architecture: solid/void relationships; structure and systems; detail scale to aggregate scale. Introducing widely employed software for architects and intrior designers, including Rhino, Autocad, and V-Ray, students critically examine the phenomenon of how design is executed and represented by means of digital technology.
