Description:
This course establishes a rigorous design approach and dialogue specific to Interior Design. Building on universal principles applicable to all environmental design disciplines, especially those introduced during the first three semesters of the parsons design curriculum, we will develop ways to enter and understand interior design as a unique system of ideas that enhance the human experience. Design Studio 2 emphasizes issues of sustainability, human interaction, fabrication, program and site. Through a series of related design problems, this studio investigates connections between interior design and urban context.
