Drawing can articulate ideas in a variety of ways and approaches, allowing us to see and analyze objects, spaces, ideas, actions and patterns. In this course we will explore drawing as a fundamental element of visual communication. There will be an emphasis on using freehand drawing, observation and research, digital tools and the elements of design to explore ways that drawing can be used to develop students' individual aesthetic resulting in an understanding of how to use drawing and the elements of design as a vehicle for visual storytelling.
