This course will provide students with an introduction to Dubied equipment, with the goal of building a foundational knowledge of techniques and skills within the context of their own design aesthetic and process. Outcomes may include series of machine, knit swatches, representing stitch development or knit garments related to their work in Creative Technical Studio 1 & 2. Students will develop their own material language within the context of making, experimentation and technical vocabulary.
Pre-requisite(s): PAFS 1020 Construction 1: Patternmaking, PAFS 1080 Construction 1: Draping, and PAFS 1090 Construction 1: Sewing or PUFD 2002 Integrated Studio 1 and PUFD 2003 Integrated Studio 2 or PUFD 2240 or PUFD 2241 Creative Technical Studio 1 or 2.
