Description:
Digital modeling techniques have evolved to become less design tool, more scripting devise for innovative project development. Physical modelmaking continues to be a relevant tool for design, and has become increasingly reliant on a hybrid of hand fabrication and digital outputting, often combining processes to mimic the potential construction process. This course is designed to develop modelmaking skills in students interested in pushing the boundaries of those skills. This course will make extensive use of the Making Centers, and will be structured to engage these spaces on a regular, ongoing basis. This course will provide a truly collaborative environment that can engage students in the shared acts of making across disciplines.
