Emphasis is divided between detailed technical instruction and creative collaborative assignments. Students learn to assess the needs of given assignments and are challenged to articulate a vision in harmony with the ideas of creatives of all kinds. Instruction is divided weekly for the first part of the semester, introducing advanced lighting modifiers and their common applications while the second half of the semester is dedicated to refining and combining these tools into competent, assured, and repeatable working modes.
