Description:
This course introduces students to place-based project work by partnering with The Children's Museum of the Arts as a hands-on case study to work through the dynamics of collaboration, project development, and institutional negotiations while producing new works. This unique opportunity functions as an Artist’s Residency for Parsons students at CMA. The seminar portion of this course looks critically at exchange-based practices, social engagement, and questions of community agency by participating in a symposium, artist visits and key texts on art and social change.
