This course introduces historical and alternative processes in photography while also embracing new technologies. The history of photography is discussed in connection with the techniques taught in class. Students are encouraged to explore these processes in combination with contemporary processes. Through technical demonstrations, hands-on workshops, and technical and creative assignments, students develop a working knowledge of the various mediums while also developing their own visual language.
