This course is for students that want to learn the range of skills and experience provided by medium, large, ultra large format photography and mural printing. Specialized techniques are coupled with historical antecedents and the conceptual approaches by a range of photographic practitioners. Students also learn advanced exposure techniques and advanced black and white printing controls as they apply to the large format process, such as contact printing and mural prints. Digital workflow with working on digital backs on medium will also be covered.
Open to: All School of Art, Media, and Technology undergraduate degree students, sophomores only. Pre-requisite: PUPH 2100 Core Studio 1: Photo Practices.
