This Printmaking course explores the relationship between text and image. The direct and immediate qualities of woodcut images, combined with letterpress text, will be used as the operative elements behind narrative, graphic statements. The class will also cover the formats of prints, books arts, and posters, and the expanding contemporary overlap of communication design, illustration and fine art.
