Description:
Building a career and managing a successful creative media business in today’s competitive environment presents unique challenges when compared to other, more traditional, businesses. This course will introduce the key management concepts necessary to understand, work in, and run a successful creative media company. Areas of focus will include market differentiation, maintaining clients and growing revenues, raising money, managing finances and budgeting, staff development, technology, sustainability, social responsibility and legal compliance. Discovery of key concepts will be achieved through a combination of presentations, case studies and projects.
