Description:
This final semester spring course runs parallel to the formal Thesis Studio course and focuses on research and writing techniques affiliated with their thesis project. Students will continue thesis research initiated in the fall Thesis Preparation seminar and refine creative and scholarly interests that evolve through the development of their spring studio project. Workshops and writing exercises will introduce new writing techniques/methods and reaffirm formal structures that have been introduced in prior writing courses. Students are to reinforce skills affiliated with critical writing and scholarly research. As well, this course introduced formal techniques for assembling formal scholarly manuscripts, or “books”, that package design based research, case studies, personal essays and graphic works.
