This lecture/lab will focus on the interior in detail. Appropriate detailing and construction has a direct impact on the designed interior and its intent. The course serves as an introduction for interior design students to cultivate knowledge of materials and constructions methods. Specific attention will be given to the transitions from one material to another. Details in selected built projects will serve as a source of inspiration. Students will start with precedent studies before they develop a series of large-scale details for one of their design projects completed in a previous semester.
