For managers, leaders, and staff members, effectiveness in organizations depends largely on understanding what's going on beneath the surface of complex relationships and situations. Organizational Behavior (OB) provides important tools for achieving such understanding. OB draws on a range of social science disciplines—psychology, sociology, anthropology, and political science—to explain, predict, and influence human behavior in organizations. OB is a foundation for management studies and is critical for those who seek success in their own organizations.
